The Jackson Hole area has copious accessible and amazing spots to ride fat tires, no matter how many you have! Here are some of our faves we’ve been exploring.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

JHMR has numerous opportunities for aMTB riding. An amazing bike park with numerous trails via Teewinot quad and Sweetwater gondola offer rad downhill riding 90% of which are accessible for adaptive bikes! Love to earn your turns by grinding up steep climbs? Try some cross country trails amid wild flowers high above the Teton Village. Click here for a trail map! These trails are accessible (according to our tester): Buckaroo, Buck-knife, Lucky Charm, etc. JHMR trail crew will work to make the others accessible. Yay!

Grand Targhee Resort

Grand Targhee is in Alta, Wyoming via Driggs, Idaho but has numerous opportunities for aMTB riding. This gem over the hill offers 2,000 vertical feet of lift-serviced downhill and 70-plus miles of trails for cross country and downhill mountain biking. Its Bike Park has great riding for every level of mountain bike rider and many of the liftees are well-versed in loading adaptive bikes (find the trail map here). So worth the drive!

Cache Creek in East Jackson

The Cache Creek area in East Jackson is part of the Snow King trail network and contains multi-use trails, some of which are accessible. Try a ride up the Cache Creek jeep road which climbs about three miles before turning around for a fun downhill (find a trail map here). We are grateful to the Friends of Pathways and the US Forest Service for building and maintaining the trails. Check back for more accessible trail options.

Munger Mountain/Fall Creek Rd.

Mosquito Creek Rd. off on Fall Creek Rd. is a nice option for a gentle aMTB ride since it’s a jeep road that runs along a bustling creek. Check back for more accessible trail options.

Shadow Mountain

Ride the road up Shadow Mountain if you like steep climbing with a return downhill with amaaazing views of the Tetons! Check back for more accessible trail options.

Teton Pass

World-class downhill and cross country riding on both sides of the Teton Pass in Wyoming and Idaho. Grateful to the Teton Freedom Riders and US Forest Service for working together to create many of these trails! Check back for more accessible trail options.

Game Creek

Check back for more accessible trail options is Game Creek.
