Tuesday February 26 was a rest day for the 8 campers who attended the complete Wyoming Adaptive Ski Experience. Wednesday Feb 27 began the 4 day session at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The group was joined by 5 additional skiers. 2 new Wounded Warriors, 2 more civilian mono skiers, and blind skier Paul Schafer returned for his 5th S&D Camp. A bit of new snow softened things up and all campers had the opportunity to push their personal limits- this mountain delivers! Since it’s inception, a theme of JH S&D Camp has been inclusion. Adaptive skiers participate along side able bodied skiers, mixing at meals and social events. A number of adaptive campers had the opportunity to ski with able bodied groups which is a huge educational eye opener for able bodied campers as most are unaware of the possibilities and skill level of many adaptive skiers. We are already looking forward to next year’s Wyoming Adaptive Ski Experience. Thanks to all involved!
